Microsoft's 'Girls in STEM' Initiative

In the third year of Microsoft's 'Girls in STEM' initiative, we discovered a shocking statistic that only 6.7% of women graduate with STEM degrees. So we decided to tackle this moment before the drop-off in STEM interests.

We created an immersive AR experience on the Microsoft HoloLens to show young girls how STEM is more vital to their passions now more than ever.

We partnered with LinkedIn and created the #MakeWhatsNext Career Explorer, where girls could mix and match their interests to see what kinds of exciting career paths await them in the future.

Over 35,000 future careers were generated.
